Cole Hocker
Cole HockerOlympic Champion

Cole Hocker has had a consistently great track and field career but made waves that resonated outside of the sport at the 2024 Olympics. Hocker overcame a field of heavy favorites to win the gold in the 1500 meters and set an Olympic record in the process.

That eventual triumph for Hocker came on the heels of winning the event at the U.S. Nationals and finishing second at the World Championships leading into the Games. Hocker has been a professional runner since 2021, when he left the University of Oregon. He previously competed in the 2020 Olympics while still running for the Ducks and finished 6th in the 1500m. Overall, Hocker won four NCAA championships at Oregon.
